Around 10 a.m., it picked up again, and a friend of mine, who already had everything set up, was out on his 4.5-meter board. Today I was supposed to test the 4m Droid with the boom, which had just been repaired, and I have to say I’m pretty satisfied, even though the conditions were extremely variable: for 10 minutes the 4m was perfect, for another 10 minutes even the 3m would have worked, and then suddenly there’d be a 2-minute lull…After an hour, I stopped to change sails: I was thinking of the 3, but then I chose the 3.5, and I think I made the right call. It was a very tiring day because I had to read every single gust to stay on the foil, and as if that weren’t enough, there was the jellyfish problem here too: another day of “slalom” 😁.
